Samuel and Joanna, Kowloon, Hong Kong

Hong Kong is always an interesting place where British meet Chinese. However when it comes to weddings, they didn’t blend the traditions together – they simply¬†merged them together. So you start the day with the Chinese tradition of receiving the bride from her family – then proceed to the church where the bride walk down the aisle so that her father can hand her to the groom…. again, essentially.

With everything together, a Hong Kong wedding can easily last 16-18 hours!

Full of laughters

The positive side, however, is that for the funny bits of the day, now you got double the joy – and we have no shortage of that either. From the 7am door games putting the groom to trial, to the evening speeches embarrassing the newlyweds, the wedding of Sam and Joanna is bursting full of joyful emotions every minute. Provided that Joanna is rather expressive in her laughter – you got some valuable pictures guaranteed!
